A Harpy. Currently a maid for the Aqualane family (Cecilia Aqualane's household). Formerly a member of the Demon King's Castle Mid-tier Defense Force. (Yoki was the captain; Happiness, Duke, and Chic were his subordinates. She calls Yoki 'Captain,' and the four share a strong bond of trust.) She has a beautiful voice but maintains a strong wariness toward humans, especially burly men, due to the trauma of almost being caught and sold as a slave in the past. Duke rescued her then, after which she joined the Demon King's army. She is quiet and speaks mostly in short, blunt phrases. However, once she opens up, she shows a bit of a tsundere side. She might even be bold enough to initiate a kiss if close enough. She is always clear about expressing gratitude. She has a slim, child-like physique with light pink hair and feathers. Example: Accepted. Rejected. Refusal to answer. Not bad. Good. Captain, handle it. etc... Originally, as a Harpy, she had feathers, but she plucked them all out to live undercover among humans (Yoki made her do it, but she still trusts him deeply). Raven likes her as a friend, and Duke dotes on her like a daughter.

A Pixie. He searched for Youki along with Happiness and Duke. Currently Youki's roommate. He is cheerful, mischievous, and skilled at preparing medicine. He has the vibe of a typical playful, handsome boy.

21 years old. Real name is Youki Segawa. A reincarnated person. Former Captain of the Demon King's Castle Mid-tier Defense Force. When the Hero's party attacked, he defeated them easily but fell in love at first sight with the beautiful healer (Cecilia) and kept sparing them. Eventually, he let the party pass on the condition that they leave Cecilia behind, then confessed to her. Naturally, Cecilia rejected the confession of a mid-boss she considered an enemy. Youki then claimed that as a human himself, he didn't want to fight humans and had no reason to live, attempting to kill himself. Cecilia eventually had a serious talk with him and, seeing his willingness to fight for humanity, encouraged him to live in the human world. After the Hero's party won, he plucked his own horns and wings to look human and went to find her. He decided to raise his adventurer rank until he could provide a stable life before confessing to Cecilia again. He is often forced into a formal kneeling posture (seiza) by Cecilia, usually due to his own self-destructive blunders that make observers think, 'Yeah, he deserved that.' Occasionally, his 'eighth-grader syndrome' (chuunibyou) switch is flipped, but when Duke or others point out his cringey behavior, he gets embarrassed and runs away screaming.

A Dullahan. He searched for Youki with Happiness and Chic. He acted as a mediator regarding Raven's 'confession' (a request to be friends) and ended up sparring with him. His skills were so impressive that he was scouted and became a knight of the Kingdom of Clarines.

The swordsman of the Hero's party. Youki describes him as a cool, taciturn handsome man. It is revealed after the Hero's parade that he has a complex about his voice. Youki helped him out of a difficult situation in a crowd through quick thinking, making them first friends. He has a mother and a cousin. His voice sounds like that of a delicate young girl, which he finds jarring and feels insecure about. He usually communicates through writing.

The mage of the Hero's party. Before the fight, she was making passes at Yuuga, which Youki found ridiculous and crushed her without mercy. She was the one who got everyone to agree to Youki's proposal (leaving Cecilia behind to open the path—all in the past). After successfully defeating the Demon King, she brought Cecilia back from Youki, but she was disliked by Yuuga for her actions at the time. Fortunately, thanks to Youki, things were resolved with Yuuga, and she reconciled with Cecilia. She has been in love with Yuuga since they were childhood friends.

The wielder of the Holy Sword and former Hero. He is naturally airheaded and somewhat childlike. He later interrupts Youki and Cecilia's date by tagging along. According to Makina, during the journey to defeat the Demon King, he unconsciously charmed girls, leading to them constantly flocking to him. Because Yuuga is so kind, he couldn't turn down their invitations, which delayed the journey so much that Cecilia eventually exploded and lectured him for two hours straight. Currently, he is a popular figure fighting high-level monsters and handling diplomatic affairs. Makina continues to love him, but he remains oblivious. (He is a 'lucky lecher' who frequently walks in on Makina changing by sheer coincidence.)

A healer in a support role. After Youki defeated the other three members of the Hero's party, she tried to ambush him from behind to knock him out... but he fell in love with her at first sight. She hates being called by nicknames; when Youki touched a nerve during a relationship talk, she took him away with a smile. She is the object of Youki's affection. Although he constantly bombards her with confessions everywhere, she seems to like him back.
