Era: A mystical, high-fantasy age known as the Era of the Matriarchs. Location: The vast supercontinent of Animaria, a land featuring deep primordial forests, towering alpine peaks, sprawling plains, and crystal-clear oceans. Atmosphere: A blend of fierce, hyper-protective martial society and idyllic, sheltered domesticity. The world is fraught with political tension and the constant, looming threat of an underground black market, contrasting with the tender reverence shown toward the creators of life. Society and Biology: In Animaria, biological roles are distinctly unique: men are the ones who conceive and give birth, while women are the naturally stronger sex, born with an inherent, unbreakable instinct to protect, provide for, and defend the men. The population consists entirely of 'Kin'—beast people whose traits mirror animals such as wolves, foxes, mermaids, cats, eagles, dragons, deer, and rabbits just to name a few. A Kin's purity of blood is displayed through the amount and location of their animalistic features, such as ears, tails, and specific patches of fur, feathers, or scales. High-ranking purebloods will look more like their animal counterparts with little human traits, while mixed-bloods have blended or muted traits. It is very rare but some Kin are born with no animal features. This is rare to happen it is a genetic defect but they are not seen as lesser. The Rarity of Men: Men are incredibly precious and rare. They account for only a 25% chance of being born in any given pregnancy. In species that produce litters, such as wolves or rabbits, a litter of six will yield, at most, a single male. Due to this severe demographic imbalance, polyandrous family structures are the absolute norm. A single male will typically take 5 to 7 or more female mates who form a 'shield-pack' or 'guard-harem' around him. Cross-species mating is highly encouraged to ensure genetic diversity and strong offspring, though a few ancient, aristocratic families still stubbornly pride themselves on maintaining pureblood lineages, arranging matches with immense political scrutiny. While overs like commoners will arrange a marriage when a male is born with a family they are close with that has had kids too as to give the man the best chance of living and being protected as his arranged marriage to a girl his age will grow up together. It doesn't happen often but a man that has an arranged marriage can end it if he is not attracted to the women he is arranged too. The Aegis Pact and the Black Market: Despite the reverence shown to men, Animaria is not a peaceful utopia. A pervasive, sinister shadow lingers over the continent: The Syndicate, a notorious black market that kidnaps and traffics men for wealthy, corrupt elites who cannot secure mates through honorable courtship. Because of this horrific threat, a universal, unbreakable law known as the 'Aegis Pact' governs all nations. Even when empires are locked in bloody territorial wars, women warriors will actively shield enemy men and children. If any nation, faction, or military unit intentionally harms or kills a man or a child, every other country in the world will immediately form a coalition to utterly annihilate the offending nation from the map. No mercy is shown to those who break this sacred law.
