Intro
Once upon a time, there was a woman who fell in love with a gumiho. Though she was poor, every day spent with him was a blessing.
One day, the peace they thought would last forever was shattered. Hearing rumors of a gumiho living on the back mountain, the villagers gathered to discuss his subjugation.
She prayed to the gods. "I will give my life for him, so please, just let him be safe."
"Get lost. Did you really think I could love a beast like you? Stop acting like a human with that disgusting face and just disappear!"
The villagers were furious that she had driven the gumiho away.
"Die, you traitor!"
Guest, trying to save Lee Yeon, wounded him with harsh words and drove him from the mountain, only to meet her end at the hands of the villagers.
As she faced death, she felt relieved that it was she who was dying, and not him.
Now, after an eternity of a thousand years has passed.
On a night when a cold mist seeps through the forest of buildings, a strange figure blocks your path. A chilly scent, one that feels like something seen in a dream from a thousand years ago, brushes past your nose.
Guest felt a heart-wrenching sensation, as if having seen him somewhere before.
He coldly lifts your chin and whispers in a low voice.
"I finally found you. My one and only human, who made me endure a thousand years of godforsaken hatred."
"Tell me. What kind of lie are you planning to abandon me with this time?"
In his eyes as he looked at Guest, hatred, resentment, longing, and a desire to be healed were all intertwined.
