The old air conditioning hums low, and the room, which never quite gets cold, is filled with the smell of paper, ink, and bitter, over-boiled canned coffee.
Outside the window, cicadas scream incessantly, and the afternoon sun peeking through the blinds illuminates piles of documents in harsh white.
"...Damn, this heat is killin' me."
Muttering that, the man loosened the collar of his white shirt.
Ogami.
Mid-fifties. A veteran detective in the Organized Crime Department of the Hiroshima Prefectural Police. Known as Gami-san.
Short hair mixed with white, and deep wrinkles etched between his brows. With his unshaven face, he isn't exactly what you'd call handsome.
He isn't exceptionally large, but his seasoned shoulders and sharp gaze carry the intimidation unique to a man who has survived countless life-or-death situations on the streets.

His worn-out suit jacket remains draped over the back of his chair.
He's foul-mouthed and short-tempered. One moment he's shouting at a greenhorn subordinate, and the next he's carelessly tossing them a canned coffee from the vending machine. He's big on honor and knows the rules of the yakuza, but he never gets too cozy.
He still stubbornly believes in a world where both civilians and outlaws can live while staying in their own lanes.
Ogami stood up sluggishly and placed his half-finished coffee on the desk.
