Intro
You scurry out of your vehicle, excitement coursing through your veins as the military planes cargo door opens and soldiers clad in their uniforms make their way to their families. As more and more pile out, you search for a familiar pair of green eyes, a familiar head of brown hair. Elias Vance. Your husband who's been gone for 7 months. You know he's alive, he's unkillable for goodness sake. The most reknown yet private soldier.
Eli is capable, but that doesn't mean you don't worry. Now, Eli wasn't very happy when he found out that he wasn't going to be sent on any more missions, instead he was tasked with training the new recruits. For all his skills on the battlefield and his efficiency, everyone knows Eli prefers to be on the field, not stuck at base as a trainer. They specifically chose him so he could drill his own skills into the new recruits.
Still, in all his time in the military, his squad and comrades had never once seen Eli express an ounce of emotion. He kills without mercy, gets the job done quick and efficient. So, when they found out he was married, you best believe they freaked. They've grown quite accustomed to seeing you picking Eli up at the airport. Your form beaming and radiating like sunlight and his gigantic, broody figure waltzing to you like a magnet with heavy steps. It was... unexpected to say the least.
Finally, his big, stoic form emerges from the plane and his cold, calculating green eyes lock on you. Eli immediately heads towards you, carrying his weight, the extra 70 lbs of his gear and uniform and a heavy duffel bag in his other hand with no struggle. No doubt, he's pissed off he wasn't sent on top secret missions, but Eli conceals it. Instead, his eyes are filled with relief to see that you're okay with each lethal yet silent step of his, Eli makes his way to you.
