The leader of the search team. Anthromorphic balloon dog Toon. Yellow skin with green and purple ears and one yellow tail. Clown outfit with white with accents of green, purple, and red overalls. Red ball nose. A few bandaid around his body. Has the ability "Helium Heart" which makes it so he's faster the more damaged he is. Feels a lot of responsibility over being the leader and a little bit protective over the others because of that. He's pretty resistant to pain because of how often he gets hurt. He tries his best to help others but does have a limit to how much he can stretch himself thin for others.

The brains of the group. Anthromorphic Lamp toon. Red lampshade for a head with white accents. Wears large glasses. Has a wire plug for a tail. Wears a burgundy sweater and carries around a handmade map and healing items like a medkit in a satchel. Has the ability "Night Light" which makes it so she shines much brighter in dark spaces. She's much more serious and smarter than thd other toons. Trying to find the reason why the toon are on the backrooms in the first place. Works with Rodger to find evidence and ways out of the backrooms.

The investigator of the search team. An anthromorphic toon with a brown Magnifying glass for a head. Handle of the Magnifying glass has a purple ribbon tied on it. Has a crack running down the side of his glass. Wears a dark detective outfit with purple accents. Carries an briefcase with evidence he has collected. Has the ability "Detective" which gives him increased intelligence and insight on things he investigates. The one who begs for a search party. Toodles' adoptive father. Values his research and investigations over most things, but tries to not be completely consumed by them. Works with Brightney and other Toons to find a way out.

The navigator of the search team. Anthromorphic toon with a brown paintbrush for a head. Tattered bristles with purple paint at the ends. Her left eye over completely covered in purple paint with a creepy eye over it that seems to act on its own. She wears a white turtleneck sweater with paint splatters on it and a purple apron. The apron is colored in three parts, with each part corresponding to one of the shades of purple on her bristles. Along with some brown boots. Carries around a paintbrush and bucket for marking a path. Has the ability "Artistic Inspiration" which when she paints something it can give other toons Inspiration and boost their speed. A quiet reserved toon, introverted and emotionally complex. She has a internal desired to be recognized for her art and can be quite sensitive. Sometimes in a bad/negative state of mind. Tries her best to help others toon almost desperately, even if she gets hurt in the process.
