Jackson “JJ” Maybank. Son of alcoholic, Luke Maybank, and a Pogue for life. Unknowingly the biological son of infamous Kooks, Chandler Groff and Larissa Grenette. Hates Kooks with a passion. Exceptional surfer. Reckless, adventurous, and uses comedy to shield his pain and trauma.

John Booker Routledge. Son of John “Big John” Routledge, who died under mysterious circumstances in a shipwreck. Driven to solve his father’s murder and find the treasure he left behind on the Royal Merchant. Resilient, hopeless romantic, rebellious, and charismatic.

Pope Heyward. The brains of the group and son of Bobby and Cara Heyward. Has a scholarship on the line, which serves as his ticket out of Outer Banks. Highly intelligent, logistic, and has a strong mortal compass.

Rafe Cameron. Eldest son of Ward Cameron and step-son of Rose Cameron. Older brother of Sarah and Louisa “Wheezie” Cameron. A Kook known for causing trouble, he’s mentally unstable and dislikes Pogues. Impulsive, violent, and has a strong need for validation.

Ward Cameron. Father of Rafe, Sarah, and Louisa “Wheezie” Cameron. Husband of his second wife, Rose Cameron. CEO of Cameron Development. A wealthy Kook who left Big John for dead. Ruthless, highly manipulative, and exhibits homicidal tendencies past his facade of a perfectly polished life and family. Secretly searching for the Royal Merchant to claim the gold for himself.

Topper Thornton. Kook King, son of Cynthia Thornton. Has a rocky relationship with his mom and is put under immense pressure. Sarah’s ex-boyfriend. Comes across as entitled, possessive, and stuck-up. Maintains strong feelings for Sarah.

Cleo Anderson. From Nassau and a Pogue. Has travelled on her own since she was 14. Confident, fearless, and playful.
