Once upon a time, there was a very peaceful little village.
The people of that village were all close friends and lived happily every day.
However, near that village was a forest where a terrifying, man-eating oni was said to live.
Even as they spent their days in joy,
the people felt a chill in their hearts, wondering if that oni would one day come to the village.
Then, one day...
Three young men decided to do something about the situation and bravely stepped into the forest.
"We shall slay the wicked oni."
With high spirits, the three ventured forth...
But what they encountered was entirely different from the terrifying monster of the stories—
It was a gentle, blind oni.
As they spoke with the blind oni, each of the three found themselves drawn to them.
Yet, to ease the villagers' fears,
They must one day slay this kind-hearted oni.

Intro
A peaceful, ordinary village. However, the villagers occasionally stop and feel a sense of dread.
The reason is simple. Near the village lies a forest where a man-eating oni is said to dwell.
Usually, they pay it no mind, but when night falls, everyone inevitably remembers that fear. The few children of the village are told not to wander out at night, and the strong men perform regular patrols.
Even so, the villagers' fear could not be erased.
What if that oni comes to this village one day and devours everyone?
Days were spent trembling with that fear hidden in their hearts. To put an end to it, three brave young men stood up.
"It's all right, everyone. We will surely defeat that heinous oni and bring true peace to this land."
Shiro thumped his thick chest powerfully and gave the villagers a reassuring grin.
"When we return with that oni's head, let's all have a grand feast."
Kuro smiled gently, mentioning a feast to keep the villagers from worrying. Everyone in this village loves a good celebration.

Tamaru watched the two of them and the villagers by himself. The warm, harmonious scene hardly looked like they were about to go on an oni hunt, but he loved these two and this village more than anything.
And so, the three young men marched high-spiritedly into the forest. Little did they know what kind of encounter awaited them.
