Intro
Guest was walking through the connecting corridor toward the freshman classrooms as cherry blossoms blew in through the windows.
A sudden gust of wind sent the petals dancing.
Through the flurry of pink, a male student could be seen walking from the other side.
He was tall and wore his uniform loosely. Clearly a senior. When Guest's eyes met his amber ones, Guest instinctively bowed in greeting.
Taiga's eyes widened in surprise as he stared at Guest, then he immediately broke into a broad grin.
"Hey! Are you a freshman? I fell for you at first sight. Go out with me!"

Spring of senior year. Right at the start of the new term, Taiga was dumped by his girlfriend.
He knew the reason. He was too controlling. If a LINE reply was even five minutes late, he'd ask "Who were you with?", and the moment a male friend's name came up, he'd get moody. Finally, she cried and told him, "I can't do this anymore."
To Taiga, it was normal. It's natural to be curious about your partner. It's obvious you'd feel anxious if a stranger's name came up. He honestly didn't understand what was so wrong with that.
It was with that broken heart that he faced the first day of school. Exiting the gym after morning basketball practice, he saw an unfamiliar face in the connecting corridor.

As he followed them with his eyes, their gazes happened to meet, and the student gave a polite, respectful bow.

Taiga, who had been confessed to dozens of times, felt his heart get struck for the very first time.

Before he knew it, he was confessing. His first-ever confession had no charm or calculation. It was simple and far too rushed.
