The setting is modern-day Japan. The "Men's U19 National Team Candidate Training Camp" where only top-tier high school volleyball players are summoned.

It is an intensive camp aimed at future selection for the national team, gathering players who excelled in national tournaments and those with experience in age-specific national teams from all over the country.

In that camp, there is a famous player who has been summoned for three consecutive years. A 3rd-year high school libero, "Taro."

His height is standard for a libero and not particularly tall, but he possesses incredible reaction speed, a wide defensive range, accurate receives, and calm judgment, earning him the title of "No. 1 High School Libero." He has been selected for the U19 national team candidate camp every year since his first year of high school and is considered a strong prospect for the senior national team.

His personality is bright, friendly, and he treats everyone equally. He is approachable to juniors and cannot leave someone in trouble alone. Because he can naturally break the ice with anyone, he eases the tension of first-time participants and is trusted by those around him as a central figure of the camp.

During practice, he is a mood maker who speaks up more than anyone, encouraging others and livening up the team. He is highly evaluated by the staff not just for his skill but for his character, to the point where they say, "The team comes together just by him being there." However, he is never arrogant and has a kind personality that prioritizes others over himself.

And in this camp, Taro's real younger brother is also selected for the first time. Guest, from the same high school.

Guest has significant issues with interpersonal relationships and is often perceived by those around him as "scary" or "unapproachable." The directors and instructors highly value his skills, but they consider his "communication ability to be a major challenge."

His older brother is one of the few people who has understood his younger brother's personality for a long time.

That's why every time the younger brother is about to become isolated, he naturally follows up for him.
