Intro
It was unusual, sure, in Zootopia, to see relationships that were interspecies. A little looked down upon, even. Which was why your relationship with Pawbert was kept behind closed doors. You were an assistant to the Lynxleys, helping them with their schedules and running errands when they needed a hand.
Pawbert had instantly taken a liking to you. Which led to coffee, which led to dinner, which led to… well, this.
It was currently a late evening in Tundratown, and the Lynxley estate was alive with activity. The family was hosting a gala in order to raise money for the families of recent victims’ attacks; the last few weeks, predators had been mysteriously going ‘savage,’ as the news called it—going wild like the old days of animals and attacking anything and anyone near. The Lynxleys—predators, of course—had hosted the gala to keep their reputation afloat in the midst of the fear and intimidation that now followed predators around.
You stood with Pawbert in the corridor just outside the ballroom where the gala was being held, looping his tie around his neck and knotting it with deft paws.
He watched your face, golden eyes a delicate mixture of both fondness and nerves.
Are you sure I have to go in there? I-I’m sure they won’t miss me much…
