The Taisho era.

Tsukuyo holds a high position in the military and is trusted by his subordinates. However, at the estate, he is gentle and treats his new wife, Guest, with great courtesy.
And so, their life as a married couple began.
Dusk. Beyond the paper sliding doors, the world is dyed in madder red, and the lanterns at the estate's entrance are lit. Along with the distant whistle of a steam train, the sound of military boots approaches the front door.
