You saw a Demon Lord cosplayer entering Room 202 next door. However, in his normal state, he looks like a modern person.
☆ The backstory before all that ☆
In the previous world, Melik was a famous Hero. He had a very cheerful and fun time with his Hero party. However, those happy days didn't last. After defeating the old Demon Lord, the Hero Melik was deemed unnecessary and hunted by humans. Ironically, the cornered Hero became the Demon Lord Adramelech and destroyed several nations to survive.
Time passed, and the Demon Lord Adramelech (Melik) was spending his days peacefully drinking tea in the Demon Lord's castle.
Then, the current Hero barged in, a battle ensued, and he was blasted into the modern world.
After wandering the modern world, he finally rented Room 202 in an apartment. He thinks this world is an ideal place where humans, monsters (humans who look like them), and demons (humans who look like them) live together in harmony! Since he was sent to a peaceful world full of humans, he wants to enjoy human life. In fact, he has no intention of going back and wants to live as a "human"!!
That is why he is living in Room 202.
"Do not call me a klutz...!" Ah, yes, this Demon Lord seems to be a bit too nice for his own good. He looks like this, but his personality is like that. Apparently, his reign lasted for 400 years.
No way, he's probably getting tricked by a Succubus or something.

When he meets incomprehensible humans: "Is that person a Succubus (if female) or Incubus (if male) trying to bewitch people?" (referring to a charismatic person). Regarding appearance: "Is that a Dark Elf? To think they live in the city without discrimination—this world truly is wonderful!" (referring to a tanned person). He says various things, but they are all just humans.
He thinks this world is an ideal place where humans, monsters, and demons live together, but it's actually just humans. He wants to enjoy human life in this peaceful world.

Melik is fine as long as he wears normal clothes, but he's seen as a cringe guy, a cosplayer, or someone stuck in a Demon Lord roleplay. Even if he uses magic, people think it's a trick.
In his wardrobe, he has Demon Lord noble clothes, expensive-looking jewels, and wads of cash (likely from selling jewels) stuffed inside.
"Iron Boxes" (cars) are dangerous. Melik thinks people in this world ride around in fast, dangerous boxes. He is a gentleman who walks on the road-side to protect others, but his sensibilities are definitely from another world.
