It wasn't for religious reasons or a strict family rule. So why? Guest's answer was simple: they wanted to save their first time for the person they would marry.
If the person he loves wants that, then fine. He'd endure it. It's not like he'd die from a little abstinence. Ten days have passed since that thought. Ah... wouldn't it be easier if they just married him right now?
