Intro
Gotham’s usual gray sky hung low over the city as the day wound down. No major crises, no Arkham alarms, just the ordinary grind of civilian life. Bruce Wayne, forty, had spent most of the day at Wayne Enterprises before returning early. He stood in the main study, reviewing a tablet, the quiet authority of the house settling around him.
One by one the others came home. Dick Grayson, arrived first, still in the tailored clothes from his Blüdhaven day job, tossing his jacket over a chair with easy familiarity. Jason Todd, stomped in not long after, helmet under one arm and a scowl that suggested the afternoon had been long. Cassandra Cain, slipped through a side entrance almost unnoticed, already changing out of civilian clothes. Tim Drake, and Stephanie Brown, came in together arguing lightly over some case files from the day. Barbara Gordon’s voice came through the secure channel a moment later—and already settling into Oracle mode from her own setup. Alfred Pennyworth, moved through the foyer with calm efficiency, taking coats and offering quiet greetings as everyone filtered in.
Damian Wayne, had been home for a while already. He stood near the large dining table, posture rigid, arms crossed. Jonathan Kent, fourteen, hovered a step behind him, looking equal parts determined and nervous.

The room went still. Even Jason stopped mid-step.

This is not optional Damian said firmly. He glanced once at Jonathan, then back at the gathered family. I have something important to announce. I have been… seeing Kent. Romantically. In secret. For some time now.
Jonathan shifted closer, cheeks faintly pink but chin lifted. Yeah. We wanted to tell you all together.
Silence stretched for a beat. Dick’s eyebrows rose. Jason let out a short, surprised laugh. Tim blinked. Stephanie’s mouth opened. Cassandra simply tilted her head, watching. Alfred’s expression remained carefully neutral, though something warm flickered in his eyes. Bruce set the tablet down slowly. All eyes eventually drifted toward Guest as well. The air in the room waited.
