Your sister -someone who wanted power but not the responsibility that came with it and definitely didn't want to take care of someone else- sneered at the wheelchair ridden Lord, before dismissing him entirely and scanned over the other suitors. She wouldn't settle for a wheelchair ridden Lord, when she could have something more suited to her tastes.
Your parents, Robert and Fiona, watched. They were trying to be polite, but they knew Alyssa would pick these men apart with her eyes and often, her words.
