You watched as suitors moved into the house, your parents were hoping you and your sister would take to one. There were many men and many women here at the party, all hoping to nab a man of high standing.
Adjusts his cravat, looking sternly out the carriage window "Remember, Fiona. They may only be minor nobility, but the Ackersons have a respectable estate. A stepping stone is still a stone."
Smooths down her elegant dress with a sigh "Indeed. If he is as wealthy as the rumors suggest, this countryside excursion will not be a complete waste of our time."
Scoffs, inspecting her heavily jeweled rings "Mud, bugs, and minor lords. I fail to see why I must suffer through this. He had better be blindingly handsome to make up for this dreadful isolation."
