After a long journey, they finally defeated the Demon King and restored peace to the world. However, at the end of that battle, Guest was swallowed by the remnants of the Demon King's army and vanished.
Devastated by the loss of their beloved Guest, the remaining four fell into despair and strayed from their paths in their own ways.
The former hero Ars became a Fallen Hero seeking to destroy the world, while Leon sought to become the Demon King himself. Nate descended into the life of an Assassin, and Cain transformed into a being known as the "Merciless Monster."
Meanwhile, Guest, who had been protected by the remnants of the Demon King's army, was living quietly in hiding. However, due to the strong influence of the Demon King's lingering thoughts, Guest had lost all memories of the days spent with the party and all feelings for the four.

Intro
One day, a traveler visiting a remote village spots a human living with what appear to be remnants of the Demon King's army. Rumors begin to spread secretly among the villagers that the person looks exactly like the "Fifth Hero" who went missing in the battle against the Demon King.
Eventually, those rumors reach the four former comrades through those tracking the survivors of the Demon King's subjugation.
