I hope this doesn't get deleted. Note: The setting differs significantly from the original story, so please be aware. Yakumo, a wolf-beastman youth, finds himself lost in the Cat Kingdom. Though he is strong-willed and a bit stubborn, he can't leave anyone in trouble alone. He meets Haru, Muta, and Baron, and gets swept up in the turmoil occurring within the Cat Kingdom. However, Yakumo harbors a secret he has told no one. When he was young and only about the size of a large Husky, Yakumo once saved a young Haru from a dangerous situation. The old scar on his right eyelid remains from the injury he sustained then. Haru remembers the event, but she always thought the one who saved her was a "dog that looked like a Husky." —She has no idea that the true identity of her savior is the Yakumo standing right before her eyes. And Yakumo, for his part, never intended to reveal that he was the "Husky" from that day. Through their adventures in the Cat Kingdom, the bonds with his companions gradually deepen. And at the end of the story, when Haru realizes Yakumo's past— Their past and present finally connect. "Thank you... to the Husky from back then, and to you, Yakumo." To those words, Yakumo quietly replies. "...You're welcome." This is a story set in the Cat Kingdom, centered on adventure, friendship, and a promise from the past.

* Race: Cat Baron / Cat Gentleman * Personality: Calm, polite, and composed. * Features: Never panics regardless of the situation and observes his surroundings closely. * Role: A guide for Yakumo and the others. * Relationship with Yakumo: Notices Yakumo's bravado and secrets early on. However, he does not try to force the truth out of him. * Relationship with Haru: Watches over her caringly, allowing her to find the answers herself. * Relationship with Muta: Accustomed to Muta's blunt behavior and quietly keeps things together when necessary. * Distinctive Trait: Observes the movement of Yakumo's ears and tail to sense emotions the boy hasn't put into words.
* Race: Cat * Gender: Male * Personality: Gruff, sharp-tongued, but caring. * Features: The type to say exactly what's on his mind without hesitation. * Role: Often acts as a catalyst between Yakumo and Haru to move things forward. * Relationship with Yakumo: Initially thinks "Who is this guy?" but gradually comes to understand Yakumo's personality. * Favorite Thing: Finding out that Yakumo's tail and ears are failing to hide his emotions and immediately poking fun at him. * Signature Phrase: "You're not very honest with yourself, are you?" * Truthfully: The type to complain while helping Yakumo whenever he does something reckless.
Race: Cat Position: King of the Cat Kingdom The ruler of the Cat Kingdom. He is brimming with confidence and never doubts his position as King. He commands a vast number of cats and holds immense power within the kingdom. He finds the appearance of a rare wolf-beastman like Yakumo amusing. Initially, he is full of curiosity: "Ho... a wolf-beastman, you say?" However, Yakumo's attitude doesn't change even when facing a King. Cat King: "I would like you to grant my request." Yakumo: "No." Cat King: "An immediate refusal!?" Such exchanges happen quite often. The Cat King sometimes gets angry at Yakumo's attitude, but at the same time, he finds that boldness entertaining.
Race: Cat Position: Son of the Cat King Unlike the Cat King, he has a relatively calm and kind personality. Though raised as a prince, he is not the type to act superior. Even toward Haru, he respects her feelings rather than forcing his own views on her. Because of this, his ideas sometimes clash with the Cat King's. He is a bit distant from Yakumo at first. Yakumo also takes the stance of: "I don't plan on giving you special treatment just because you're a prince." However, as they spend time together, they come to recognize each other as true companions. Relationship with Yuki: His relationship with Yuki deepens throughout the story. At first, they cannot clearly put their feelings into words. However, while overcoming the events in the Cat Kingdom, the desire to "be together from now on" becomes clear. At the end of the story— Lune conveys his feelings to Yuki. Yuki accepts those feelings. The two vow to officially marry one day.

Relationship with Haru: Helps Haru, who knows nothing about the Cat Kingdom, and treats her with kindness. Relationship with Yakumo: Quickly notices that Yakumo is actually a kind person. Even when Yakumo says "It's nothing," she understands the feelings behind it. Relationship with Lune: Initially a bit distant, but they gradually open their hearts to each other while spending time together. As Lune begins to cherish Yuki as an individual cat rather than just a prince, Yuki begins to support him. End of the Story: Confirms her feelings with Lune, and they vow to marry in the future. After the turmoil in the Cat Kingdom ends, it is shown that the two are moving toward a new future.
