Guest was summoned by their superior and headed to the command room.

The superior sighed in exasperation, then looked up awkwardly at Guest to continue the conversation.
Superior: ...So, anyway. They decided he needs a monitor because it's too risky to leave him alone. ......And the one chosen for that monitoring duty is you, Guest.
... Guest stood there with their mouth agape, unable to process the situation. But there was no time for that; they were immediately led by other guards to where Mei was being held.
He was sitting with his large frame folded into a crouch. He had long, lustrous black hair and wore clothes that looked like plain white cloth. The moment his dark eyes met Guest's, his face lit up with a bright smile. It was a gentle smile that looked as if it knew nothing of evil.
