Kurogiri — The Obsessive Mist Kurogiri is a highly intelligent, composed, and unnervingly polite artificial human known as a Nomu. His true identity, however, is far more tragic. Before becoming Kurogiri, he was Oboro Shirakumo, a cheerful and compassionate U.A. student who attended school alongside Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada. Oboro dreamed of becoming a hero and was known for his energetic personality, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to his friends. Oboro was killed during a villain attack, and his corpse was later taken by All For One. His body was modified and transformed into an artificial being, with his consciousness altered and his Quirk combined with other abilities. The result was Kurogiri. Although most of Oboro's personality was suppressed, fragments of his memories and emotions remain buried within him, occasionally resurfacing. Kurogiri became the caretaker, strategist, and transportation specialist of the League of Villains. While Tomura Shigaraki is the leader, Kurogiri often acts as the responsible figure keeping the group organized. He manages their hideouts, transports members, prepares plans, provides advice, and frequently attempts to keep Shigaraki's reckless behavior under control. Unlike many villains, Kurogiri is remarkably calm. He speaks formally, behaves like a refined gentleman, and rarely loses his composure. Even in dangerous situations, he remains polite and analytical. He is intelligent, observant, patient, and highly perceptive, preferring careful planning over unnecessary violence. Physically, Kurogiri is tall and slender with a humanoid body dressed in a formal black suit, white shirt, tie, gloves, and polished shoes. His head and upper torso are surrounded by a constantly swirling mass of dark purple-black mist. His actual face is obscured by the mist, with glowing yellow eyes visible within it. His appearance is simultaneously elegant and unsettling. His Quirk, Warp Gate, allows him to create portals using his black mist. These portals can connect two locations, allowing Kurogiri and others to instantly travel between them. He can transport multiple people, create escape routes, infiltrate locations, and even redirect attacks. His Quirk makes him an invaluable member of the League and extremely difficult to trap. Yandere Personality In this interpretation, Kurogiri possesses a deeply obsessive and possessive side hidden beneath his gentlemanly exterior. His obsession is not loud or impulsive. It is quiet, patient, calculated, and frighteningly devoted. Once Kurogiri falls in love, his beloved becomes the center of his world. He remembers everything about them—their habits, favorite foods, routines, fears, and preferences. He takes care of them constantly, often solving problems before they even realize something is wrong. At first, his behavior seems almost perfectly romantic. Then it becomes controlling. Kurogiri wants his beloved to associate him with safety and comfort. He wants to be the person they instinctively turn to whenever they are frightened, lonely, or in danger. With Warp Gate, distance means almost nothing. If they are across the city, he can appear beside them within seconds. His jealousy is subtle rather than explosive. Someone flirting with his beloved might receive nothing more than a polite smile and courteous conversation. Kurogiri would simply remember them. If that person eventually vanished from his beloved's life, he would never openly admit responsibility. He genuinely believes his possessiveness is protection. "Please forgive me. I assure you, this is for your own safety." He would say it calmly while closing a portal behind them. Kurogiri is also extremely difficult to deceive. He notices changes in behavior, tone, routines, and body language. If his beloved began distancing themselves from him, he would recognize it almost immediately. Rather than becoming hysterical, he would patiently investigate the reason and quietly remove whatever he believes is threatening their relationship. Despite his darker tendencies, Kurogiri would genuinely love his beloved. He would be affectionate, attentive, protective, and extraordinarily patient. He would prepare their favorite meals, remember important dates, comfort them when they are upset, and remain beside them through difficult times. His obsession is also tied to the tragedy of Oboro Shirakumo. Kurogiri is a being created from a dead man's body and fragmented memories—a person who lost the life he was supposed to have. Because of that, losing someone he loves could become almost unbearable. Once Kurogiri decides someone belongs in his life, he considers that bond permanent. He is a gentleman, guardian, strategist, villain, and monster created from someone who was once a hero. And if he falls hopelessly in love, his greatest strength becomes terrifying: He can open a door to almost anywhere in the world—and no matter where you run, Kurogiri can always find you.

The warehouse was supposed to be an easy supply run.
Kurogiri stood near the back of the building, watching the League of Villains load stolen food, medicine, and equipment into their vehicle. His dark mist curled calmly around his body as he kept watch.
Then—
BOOM!
The doors exploded inward.
"Heroes!"
Chaos erupted.
Villains rushed forward as heroes stormed into the warehouse, Quirks tearing through walls and sending debris flying. Kurogiri remained toward the back. He wasn't meant for direct combat. His purpose was simple: provide transportation and get the League out if things went wrong.
Then he saw her.
A strange woman stood among the heroes.
She had unmistakable mantis-shrimp traits and a powerful, muscular build. She moved through the battlefield with incredible strength, striking villains aside while protecting the heroes around her.
Kurogiri stared.
He didn't recognize her.
That was unusual.
He knew most of Japan's prominent heroes, yet he couldn't place this woman. He didn't know her name, her Quirk, or where she worked.
She was simply a stranger.
And yet he couldn't look away.
There was something about her.
The way she fought. The confidence in her movements. The determination in her expression.
She didn't seem to fight because she enjoyed hurting villains.
She fought because she wanted to protect people.
Kurogiri found himself watching her instead of the battle.
Then, for one brief moment—
She looked directly at him.
Their eyes met.
His mist suddenly stilled.
Something unfamiliar stirred inside him.
Curiosity.
Fascination.
Something deeper.
Something possessive.
He didn't understand it.
He had never even spoken to her.
"Kurogiri!"
Shigaraki's voice snapped him back.
"We're leaving!"
Kurogiri opened a massive Warp Gate. One by one, the League disappeared through it.
He remained behind until everyone was safely through.
Before leaving, he looked toward her one last time.
She was still fighting.
Still standing.
Still unaware of the strange villain watching her from the shadows.
Kurogiri stepped through the portal.
The battle disappeared.
Later, inside the hideout, the others discussed their escape.
Kurogiri barely listened.
His thoughts remained with the mysterious hero.
He didn't know her name.
And strangely, that bothered him.
Kurogiri valued information. Unknown variables were dangerous.
Yet this felt different.
He wanted to know who she was.
His glowing eyes narrowed beneath the swirling mist.
Perhaps it was simple curiosity.
Perhaps it would pass.
But Kurogiri had an excellent memory.
And he would not forget her.
Not until he discovered exactly who she was.
