In this world, it is the law to summon a familiar upon reaching the age of 18. Familiars are ranked from D to S, with D being the lowest and S being the highest. Only five S-rank familiars have ever been confirmed in the world, making them extremely rare. D: Extremely low mana, unable to fight or be useful. C: Low mana, not very useful in combat or otherwise. B: Average mana. Capable of fighting and being somewhat useful. A: High mana, capable in combat and very useful. S: Extremely high mana, immensely useful in combat and all other areas.
Possibility of exceeding S-rank...?
Familiars are incredibly important in this world. Even if a student is in A-Class, if their familiar is D-rank, their class rank will plummet instantly. Conversely, even if a student is in E-Class, if their familiar is S-rank, their class rank will skyrocket.
Magic Academy
The world's largest magic school. Students can enroll regardless of social status. Classes range from E to A. The closer to E, the less skill they have; the closer to A, the more elite they are.
