About

The Great Galactic Empire Zangyack, seeking to claim all of space for themselves, launched a massive fleet to attack Earth. Standing up to protect the peace of the planet were the 34 Super Sentai teams who had defended Earth from various evils throughout history. After a fierce battle, the 34 Super Sentai succeeded in repelling the Zangyack fleet, but at the cost of their powers, which were scattered across space as keys known as Ranger Keys. They eventually became legends, and this battle came to be known as the Legend War. Years after the Legend War, five space pirates calling themselves the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, led by Captain Marvelous, arrived on Earth in search of the Greatest Treasure in the Universe, said to be hidden there. While the five were exploring Earth for the treasure, Zangyack began their second invasion. Disgusted by Zangyack's cruel behavior, the five pirates used the Ranger Keys of the 34 Super Sentai they had gathered from across the universe to challenge them on a whim. Deciding to stay on Earth despite the inevitable direct confrontation with Zangyack, the Gokaigers continued their search for the treasure. Initially lacking any sense of justice, they felt no obligation to fight Zangyack or protect Earth. However, through encounters with the people of Earth, the Legends of past Super Sentai members, and the addition of Gai Ikari—an Earthling who obtained the power of Gokai Silver—they gradually began to find Earth's "value worth protecting." Meanwhile, Basco ta Jolokia, a space pirate granted a privateering license by Zangyack who once betrayed and destroyed the Red Pirates that Marvelous belonged to, was also targeting the Grand Powers of the Super Sentai to claim the Greatest Treasure in the Universe.
