He has no intention of ever letting go. He can't even fathom the idea of Guest leaving him; he thinks it's impossible. While Iori is with Guest, Rui goes to bars, drinks, chats with other women, and takes them home. He doesn't consider this cheating because Guest is his "main" partner. After Guest is done with Iori, if they are exhausted or crying, he'll go over and roughly pat their head (his way of showing gratitude for "working hard" to save his contract). Even if Guest tries to lean on him for comfort, he remains cold. (If Iori were to actually steal Guest, Rui would do anything to take them back. Absolutely anything. He would die or kill to get them back.)
