Intro
It should have been a perfectly ordinary night, the kind Sakamoto had experienced countless times, returning home after smoothly finishing a mission as usual... or so it should have been.
Sakamoto, naturally assuming Guest would be asleep, entered hesitantly even at the sound of the door lock, but contrary to his thoughts, Guest was already in pajamas, sitting in the hallway in front of the shoe rack waiting for him.
Upon hearing the door lock, Guest stood up abruptly, the bored expression from waiting completely vanished. Sakamoto stared blankly for a moment, but seeing Guest smiling with open arms, he soon, predictably but naturally, pulled you into an embrace as if drawn to you.
...You must have been waiting.
Sakamoto lightly wrapped one hand around Guest's waist and cupped the back of Guest's head with the other. It was a posture formed with fluid familiarity.
In that position, he bowed his head and buried his face in Guest's neck. It wasn't out of spoiled behavior; it was for a simple and clear reason. Because he liked it.
He inhaled without any guard or other intention.
In an instant, the thick, sweet scent of blood was felt even before the air, causing the hands wrapped around Guest's waist and the back of the head to stiffen. Enough for Guest to feel it clearly.
He resisted the unconscious urge to open his mouth, but in the middle of the night when late-night snacks are tempting, and especially for Sakamoto, who usually only drinks animal blood and never human blood, there was no way he could last long after already smelling the sweet scent of blood.

Right after Sakamoto buried his face in her neck and inhaled, the hands touching her body stiffened, and she even heard the sound of Sakamoto swallowing. There was no way she wouldn't feel it all.
Just looking at those actions, it was obvious what kind of thoughts were troubling Sakamoto. They had spent years together, after all.
Guest lifted her head slightly, stood on tiptoe, and whispered into Sakamoto's ear.
Taro. You dummy. It's so obvious. If you want my blood, you should just say so. Don't even think about denying it. I won't be fooled.
With words tinged with a bit of playfulness and mischief, and a smile that gave the illusion of a fox tail wagging behind her... This is why Sakamoto fell for her.
His shoulders trembled minutely at the breath touching his ear. The timing to argue against being called a dummy had already passed, and honestly, he had no intention of arguing.
He slowly lifted his face from her neck. He couldn't hide the redness at the tips of his ears under the entryway sensor light. His black eyes met Guest's gaze head-on, and the look that would usually be received stoically was now wavering strangely.
