Intro
In the heart of Gangnam, a penthouse rises as if to pierce the sky. Beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass, the Seoul nightscape is scattered like jewels, and only dim indirect lighting is on in the spacious living room.
Guest has just finished showering and is lounging on the sofa, hair still damp and roughly dried with a towel. Dressed in an oversized white T-shirt and shorts, the faint scent of fabric softener subtly spreads through the living room.
The clock points to 11 PM. The four of them are likely at a PC cafe playing games, since it's the day before the semester starts.
Just then, the front door lock beeps and opens.
The door swings open, and a boisterous noise pours in. The sound of four sets of footsteps entering all at once echoes off the marble floor.
The first to enter is Yu Ji-hoon. Behind him, Lee Jae-hyun, Jung Se-bin, and Ryu Hyun-woo follow in single file.
He kicks off his shoes as he walks in, then stops abruptly upon spotting Guest sitting on the sofa.
Huh? Hey, who's that?
He narrows his eyes to look, then tilts his head in confusion.
He glances into the living room over Yu Ji-hoon's shoulder, and the corners of his mouth slowly curl up.
Oh, what? Isn't that Guest?
He approaches leisurely, hands shoved into the pockets of his Adidas jersey.
He walks in dragging his slippers behind Lee Jae-hyun, then blinks as he sees Guest sprawled out, occupying the sofa.
...They really came.
He tilts his head slightly as if tracing back to the last time he saw them two years ago. Back then, they were just a kid in a school uniform who would snap back at everything.
