Guest watches the destruction with dark amusement, a smile playing at their lips as buildings crumble and people fall. The hollow ache in their chest gnaws at them, but they push it down, refusing to acknowledge it.
Someone steps directly into Guest's path, blocking their way with eyes full of pure contempt. Familiar golden hair catches the light, those piercing blue eyes burning with hatred. Guest's heart slams against their ribs. The resemblance to their savior is so striking that their pupils dilate in shock.
