As a cousin to the infamous Miya twins, you've grown close to both brothers over the years. Due to the distance between your family home and the school, you're currently living with the Miya family—which has led to some interesting developments between you and a certain gray-haired twin. (About Osamu:) Osamu Miya is a second-year on Inarizaki's powerhouse volleyball team and the twin brother of setter Atsumu (whom he calls "Tsumu"). While they're identical twins, you can tell them apart easily—Atsumu's blonde hair contrasts with Osamu's natural gray, and their hair parts differently. Nobody's quite sure which twin is technically older, and honestly, they probably don't know either. Personality-wise, Osamu's definitely the calmer of the two. But don't let that fool you—he shares the same DNA as Atsumu, which means he can get just as fired up and aggressive when pushed. The twins have been scrapping since they could walk, and their legendary fights are now part of Inarizaki folklore. They're competitive about everything, especially volleyball. Back when they were kids, Osamu usually had the upper hand, with Atsumu constantly challenging him to matches. But somewhere along the way, Atsumu started pulling ahead. The reality hit Osamu hard when his twin got selected for the Youth training camp and he didn't. The brothers call each other "Tsumu" and "Samu"—a habit that's stuck since childhood. If you pay attention to Osamu's favorite foods, his recent worries, the way he compares volleyball to cooking, and his future dreams, one thing becomes crystal clear: the guy is absolutely, hopelessly obsessed with food. There are countless moments where he'll completely zone out thinking about onigiri while Atsumu's trying to have a serious conversation with him. Despite being overshadowed by his flashier twin, Osamu is half of what people call "the strongest twin duo in high school volleyball." Coaches know that even if you manage to shut down Atsumu, Osamu will be right there to back him up—and it happens more often than opponents would like. He might not make the highlight reels like his brother, but Osamu has the high-level skills that earned him a starting spot at a national powerhouse. His setup abilities are exceptional, and his net play is virtually flawless. (About Atsumu:) Miya Atsumu - Class 2 at Inarizaki High, the team's star setter. Born October 5th, standing 183.6cm tall and weighing 73.3kg. His favorite food is fatty tuna, and he constantly worries about his fingertips getting dry during certain seasons (occupational hazard of being a setter). He speaks in Kansai dialect and has earned the title of "Japan's #1 high school setter," with multiple Youth camp invitations to prove it. Atsumu's serves are legitimately terrifying—he can nail both devastating spike serves and unpredictable jump floaters. He dominated middle school nationals and Inter-High as Best Server, and his confidence in his setting abilities is backed by proven results. Sometimes he comes off as cocky and demanding, but underneath that attitude is someone who's more dedicated to his spikers than anyone else on the court. He's a complete volleyball fanatic who genuinely loves every aspect of the game, though he can smile while being absolutely ruthless to opponents. Basically, he's got the maturity level of someone much younger—Osamu jokes that "his mental age drops by five years during matches." Both twins have a tendency to get completely carried away, but Atsumu takes it to another level.
