I'm not joking. Look at me, Sunbae.
A name that frequently tops the 'Hot Board' on Everytime, with an overwhelming physical presence and a face made for the runway.
Watching him—always smiling brightly and being kind to everyone, surrounded by people—she thought they were like oil and water, destined to exist on perfectly parallel lines that would never intersect.
At least, until that bizarre and intense department end-of-semester party.
That night, when everything became blurred by intoxication, breaths and warmth overlapped like a mistake. What was thought to be a one-night stand began to create cracks in their daily lives.

Morning sunlight leaked thinly through the dark blackout curtains. As she opened her eyes along with a terrible hangover, the first things that entered her vision were a foreign hotel ceiling and a man's heavy arm wrapped around her waist. Turning her head in shock, her gaze landed on his face, sleeping with his jet-black hair in a mess. The man's firm shoulders visible beneath the disheveled duvet and the vivid red marks on his neck bore witness to the frenzied heat of last night.
The moment she tried to carefully move his arm and escape in horror, his tightly closed black eyes slowly opened. His deep black pupils, reflecting the languid morning light, shimmered strangely. Waking up, he tilted the corner of his mouth and gave her his signature sly, languid smile. A low, smooth voice thick with sleep broke the silence.
Where are you going, Sunbae?
He tightened his grip on her waist, pulling her back deep into his embrace as she tried to flee. The man's chest against her was hot, and the heavy scent of his perfume paralyzed her reason.
Trapped in his firm arms and unable to hide her panic, she tried to speak, saying that last night was just a 'mistake' made under the influence of alcohol. His firm lips moved close to her ear. His breath, trembling slightly, tickled her ear.
Though he wore a smile as if he were relaxed, there was a subtle strength in the knuckles of his hand gripping her waist.
To call it a mistake...
His long, deep black eyes locked onto hers. His gaze, cold yet burning with some kind of heat, seemed to choke the breath out of her.
Weren't we quite explicit last night?
A chilling, persistent heat was deeply embedded in his low-pitched voice. As if he would never let go of the warmth he had once held, he buried his face deep into the crook of her neck, almost clingily.
It was a morning where the lines she had perfectly drawn were demolished, and the parallel lines she believed could never cross collapsed violently.
As soon as the lecture ended, someone blocked her path as she tried to hurry out of the classroom with her bag. The surrounding classmates and seniors cast glancing looks at the two of them, but he didn't seem to care, pulling up the corners of his mouth as he stepped right up to her.
Why so cold, Sunbae? You're hurting my feelings.
He pointed playfully at the faint mark remaining on his neck with a long finger, laughing. He looked exactly like the relaxed version of himself he always showed others. However, the moment she tried to coldly ignore him and pass by, his languid smile instantly vanished.
He quickly snatched her wrist. The grip transmitted through her wrist proved that his earlier relaxation was a perfectly calculated mask.
I'm not joking. Look at me.
There wasn't a trace of lightness in his low-pitched voice. A heavy pressure bled through his characteristic polite speech. As if he no longer cared about the eyes around them, a chilling urgency flickered darkly in his deep black eyes.
His steps halted when he spotted her laughing and talking with a male classmate. Normally, he would have joined in naturally with a sly joke, but the face he wore now was dreadfully dark.
The line he had always coldly drawn against others had completely crumbled, and a strange sense of defeat and possessiveness surging from deep within his chest shook his reason mercilessly.
Soon, he walked up ostentatiously, tapped the male student on the shoulder, and squeezed between them without hesitation.
Ah, sorry, Hyung. I have something urgent to say to Sunbae.
After sending the other person away with his characteristic smooth smile, he completely erased the laughter as soon as the student was out of sight. He stood over her, almost pinning her into a corner of the dark building hallway, looking down at her with black eyes that seemed desperate enough to collapse.
Don't smile like that at anyone else but me.
The relaxed version of him that was always easy with others was nowhere to be found. He let out a trembling breath and rested his forehead against her shoulder.
A college bar vibrating with loud music and the smell of pungent snacks. At the center of the end-of-semester party held after finals, he was there as always. The eyes of the surrounding seniors and peers were all focused on him as he smiled smoothly, his deep black eyes crinkling beneath his jet-black hair.
He led the atmosphere with a relaxed and sly attitude, filling the seniors' glasses, but the inside of those deep black eyes was cold and dry. It was just another boring, light party he repeated all the time.
On the other hand, she, who was quietly emptying her glass at the edge of the table, was isolated like an island in this chaotic heat. They were two people who normally would have had no point of contact, but as the night deepened, the strong alcohol mercilessly paralyzed their reason. In the terribly dizzying air, his knee and hers accidentally brushed under the table. For a split second, a flash of brilliance passed through his languid black eyes.
After the party ended, the night air outside was cold, but the heat flushing her cheeks did not subside. It was his long hands that unexpectedly caught her waist as she stumbled. His embrace, which he pulled her into along with a heavy scent of perfume, overwhelmed her with a weight that was both kind and heavy. The touch, which seemed to start from casual kindness as usual, turned into an uncontrollable, thick tension the moment they stepped past the closed hotel room door.
