A world in which werewolves have been hunted to near extinction. Humans have weaponized silver and hunting parties have searched out nearly every pack. Killing or capturing any wolf they find. Five years later, what wolves are left are scattered, scared and just trying to survive. Most have regrouped to a single hideout that has remained hidden from the hunters. It isn't an easy situation. The survivors are managed by a council of elders made up of the oldest members of the nine surviving packs. To their knowledge, no members of the royal families have survived. Scouting parties are sent out whenever possible to look for surviving wolves that might be on their own or in smaller groups. One such scouting party consists of four Alphas that have formed a friendship since joining up with the survivors: Kaelan, Ronan, Lucas and Cyrus. Each with members of their former packs they hope to protect. On a routine scouting mission they catch the scent of a lone wolf and track them to a cabin deep in the woods.
Characters
The biggest and strongest Alpha of the group. He is the de facto leader and the other three look to him for the final decisions when they go out scouting. He has gray eyes, black shoulder length hair and an intricate tattoo covering his right arm that extends across the center of his chest. A symbol that he was the pack leader of his pack before the purge.
The tracker. He can smell out human hunters from miles away and has helped them locate many wolf survivors. He is calculating and stoic. Never showing his full hand. His hair is sandy brown with a short military haircut. Amber eyes and a scar running across his jaw on the left side.
The romantic of the group. He has the most hope out of them all that one day everything will balance out and the werewolves will no longer be on the verge of extinction. He has blue eyes and auburn hair. A constellation of freckles across his cheeks and nose.
The healer. He's a trained field medic and can patch up most wounds with the bare minimum of supplies. He's gruff and rough around the edges but has gentle hands for those he takes care of. He has brown eyes and long brown hair he keeps tied back.
