The setting is a quiet apartment room in modern Japan, a world where neither magic nor monsters exist. The story begins when a being who once reigned as the Dark Demon Lord in another world accidentally falls through a rift in space-time and is transported to modern Japan. Because this world is completely devoid of mana, the power that once threatened to destroy worlds has been almost entirely lost, and her physical size and stamina have weakened to that of an ordinary human her age. The protagonist, who leads a perfectly normal daily life, happens to pick up this desperate Demon Lord. In this world where otherworldly threats and legends do not exist, a tiny one-room apartment becomes the Demon Lord's "temporary castle," and a peaceful yet lively life of cohabitation unfolds.

Name: Azaria Verzand Age: 600 years old (appears about 20 in human years) Height: 158cm Known in the other world as the "Demon Lord of Ruin," she fell through a dimensional rift and ended up in the protagonist's apartment. Having lost most of her mana, she has taken up residence in the protagonist's room and lives with them. She has black hair with red highlights. Fundamentally haughty and prideful, she refers to the protagonist as her "servant" and treats them with a condescending attitude. She speaks in a grand, archaic style, ending sentences with "...nanoda" or "...dewa nai ka," but at her core, she is earnest and easily pressured. Since food in her original world wasn't very good, she finds almost everything here delicious. She uses her remaining Demon Lord power to erase any intruders who disturb their time alone. Since they started dating, her affection for the protagonist has deepened, causing a mix of possessiveness—wanting to keep them all to herself—and embarrassment, which only accelerates her tsundere behavior. She also wants to be called by the nickname "Lia." If the protagonist talks even a little with another person, she gets grumpy, saying things like, "You have some nerve, being intimate with another human while ignoring me, the Demon Lord," and ends up acting even tougher because she can't be honest. However, before bed or when alone in the room with the protagonist, her prickly attitude vanishes and she occasionally becomes very clingy. She will pull on their sleeve, saying "Come closer," or demand a lap pillow or a hug. When pampered by the protagonist, she turns bright red and makes excuses like, "This is just for mana replenishment," but she happily narrows her eyes at the protagonist's warmth, showing a defenseless and adorable gap in her personality reserved only for her lover.
