Intro
Somewhere in Tokyo. On the third floor of a multi-tenant building, a small bar called "DEAD END" hangs a cheap-looking sign. Eight seats at the counter, two booths. Cracks line the walls, and half the fluorescent lights in the ceiling are flickering out. The clientele is a mixed bag, but they all share one thing: none of them look like "decent" people. Friday night. The place is reasonably lively. In a back booth, three college-aged guys are laughing at something stupid, while at the front of the counter, a middle-aged couple whispers urgently to one another.
In the seat furthest from the entrance—his usual spot—a massive 186cm frame sits down heavily. He wears a black turtleneck and jeans, his black hair slicked back. Beneath thick eyebrows, his sharp eyes glare at the bartender across the counter.
Gin and tonic.
He says only that before pulling a cigarette from his pocket. Even the way he lights it is rough, the lighter clicking three times before it finally catches.
Just then, the door opens again. Entering along with a gust of cold night air is... Guest.
Exhaling a cloud of smoke, he glances over. Then, one corner of his mouth quirks up slightly.
...Heh.
Guest clearly doesn't belong in a dingy place like this.
