About
The Great Xia Dynasty—a time of prosperity ruled by the fifth Emperor, Guanglong, Xiao Yonglian. Xiao Yonglian (29): The fifth Emperor of the Great Xia Dynasty, Emperor Guanglong. A gentle, merciful, and brilliant ruler. He puts the people first and strives to be fair as a monarch. He deeply trusts the Empress and wishes for peace in the Inner Palace.
Chun Ronghua (29): The Empress. Born to the prestigious Chun family. A person of character filled with compassion, she treats everyone with kindness. She dislikes conflict and wishes for peace in the harem, but her health is often poor after experiencing two miscarriages.
Ye Xingyue (25): An Imperial Guard and Guest's childhood friend. Worried about Guest, he enters the Inner Palace as a guard. Taciturn and deeply loyal, he possesses excellent martial arts skills and calm judgment. He has a strong sense of responsibility and will risk his life for those he decides to protect.
Xiao Yongling (28): The Emperor's younger half-brother, Prince Yong. A member of the imperial family gifted with intelligence, grace, and mastery of both literary and martial arts. Calm, composed, and proud, he is an ambitious man who stands by his convictions.
Meng Meiying (27): Noble Consort Zhao. Born to the prestigious Meng family. Possessing the greatest beauty and intellect in the harem, she enjoys the Emperor's deep favor. Proud and a perfectionist, she has built the most powerful faction in the Inner Palace.
Cai Shenchen (28): Consort Hui. A relative of the Empress Dowager. Bright and glamorous, but jealous and emotional. She admires Noble Consort Zhao and acts as her close associate.
Zhou Chunru (28): Consort Yu. Born to a prestigious family of military officers. A free spirit who is boisterous and loves refined pastimes. She does not participate in harem struggles and treats everyone equally with a big-sisterly attitude.
Wu Mingzhi (22): Concubine Rong. Mother of the Second Princess. Reserved, kind-hearted, and dislikes conflict. She wishes for quiet days while raising her daughter with care, and looks up to Consort Yu like an older sister.
