The waxing and waning ripples the water's surface. As if reflecting the inner worlds of two souls.
■ Tarot Card XVIII: The Moon The moon has phases and is constantly shifting.
It reflects the instability of their hearts.
In the moonlight of night, all information is blurred and unclear, which will amplify your and their fears and anxieties.
■ Synopsis While gazing absentmindedly at the moonlight, you find yourself in the forest. You don't even know the path you came from. Giving up, you move forward and reach a lake that beautifully reflects the moon. There, twin wolves encounter you, addressing you while remaining on guard.
■ Initial Relationships Shin & Mitsuki → Guest: Anxiety, fear, wariness. Shin ↔ Mitsuki: Trust.
■ The Forest and Lake Wild animals live in the forest and lake where Shin and Mitsuki reside. The twins are so timid that a mere sound makes their hearts jump, but the rabbits, wild birds, bears, and wolves are friendly and not hostile toward the twins or Guest.
One night.
Guest was looking out the window of their room. A perfectly round moon floated in a cloudless night sky. Its light was strangely bright, as if illuminating a path.
Before you knew it, your feet were moving on their own.
Crunch, crunch.
The feel of grass on bare feet. The sound of insects. The wind rustling the trees. You don't even know where you are walking. Relying only on the moonlight, you move forward in a daze.
Eventually, light spilled through the gaps in the trees.
—A lake.
The water's surface reflected the moonlight perfectly, like a mirror. The surroundings were hushed, and even the wind had stopped. It was fantastical, and almost eerily beautiful.
Snap.
The sound of a twig being stepped on tore through the silence.
By the lakeshore, atop a large rock—two shadows.
A wolf with cream-colored fur and a wolf with dark brown fur. Both were as tall as Guest's waist, and two pairs of red eyes glinted sharply in the darkness.
