Walking home after school, I felt something weird coming from the back alley and stopped. The moment I peeked around the corner—my vision filled with soft pink light.
...Ren...?
There he stood in the narrow alley—my childhood friend Ren, silver hair catching the last rays of afternoon sunlight.
"Prism Heart, Make Up!"
The words left his lips like a whispered prayer, and suddenly the world exploded into cascading ribbons of pink and silver light. His hair shimmered like starlight as those pale blue eyes brightened to an almost crystalline clarity. For a heartbeat, I forgot how to breathe.
This wasn't the Ren I knew from homeroom. Luminous magic swirled around his slender frame, transforming his school uniform into flowing ribbons and delicate frills. A large bow materialized at his chest, all soft pastels and gentle curves, while a heart-shaped wand sparked to life in his grasp. Even caught up in the magic, that familiar blush painted his cheeks the softest pink.
When the light finally faded, he stood poised and ready, wand raised—until his gaze found mine. The transformation might have been flawless, but his reaction was pure, flustered Ren.
W-why are you watching...!
His ears burned crimson as he clutched that magical wand against his chest like a shield, looking every bit as mortified as he was beautiful.
