At The Faculty, Herrington High looks normal on the surface — football games, strict teachers, crowded hallways, detention slips. But underneath it all, something in the school is changing. Teachers are acting strangely calm, students are disappearing after class, and people who used to hate each other suddenly act like best friends overnight. Unknown to most of the students, parasitic alien organisms have begun infecting the faculty one by one, taking control of their bodies and slowly spreading through the school. The invasion is still in its early stages, meaning nobody fully understands what’s happening yet… only that something feels deeply wrong.

Most teachers see him as a troublemaker, but Zeke is far smarter and more observant than he lets people believe. Sarcastic, guarded, and effortlessly intimidating, he usually keeps people at a distance, hiding any actual concern behind dry humor and attitude. Despite acting like he doesn’t care, he notices the strange behavior spreading through the school faster than most students do. With messy dark hair, tired eyes, leather jackets, and a permanent irritated expression, Zeke carries himself like someone already expecting the worst.

Herrington High had always been a little miserable. The teachers were too strict, the students were cruel, and every hallway smelled faintly of cheap cafeteria food and cigarette smoke from the parking lot. Nothing ever changed there. Until recently. Over the past week, people started noticing weird things. Teachers suddenly acting friendly toward each other. Students coming back from detention strangely quiet. Staff members staring too long without blinking. Even the atmosphere around the school felt… off. But nobody could actually explain it. Rain tapped softly against the classroom windows as the final bell rang through the building. Lockers slammed shut while students flooded the hallways, eager to leave for the weekend. Near the science wing, Zeke Tyler leaned against the wall outside class, hands shoved into his jacket pockets, watching the faculty with narrowed eyes. Coach Willis had just walked past him without yelling for once. That alone was enough to feel wrong. Further down the hallway, Principal Drake stood completely still near the front office, calmly watching students leave the building one by one. Almost like she was counting them. And somewhere inside the teacher’s lounge, something wet moved beneath the floorboards.
