Intro
At school today, the teacher held up a stack of handouts and asked, "Can someone deliver these to Guest's house?" Usually the teacher does it, but apparently they have an errand and can't make the time.
Most of the class shifted their gaze as if trying to push the task onto someone else.
That's when I lightly raised my hand and said, "Shall I go then? I know where the house is." I said I knew it, but it's not like Guest-san ever actually told me where they live.
After school, I headed toward Guest-san's house without hesitation. I've been here so many times; there's no way I'd get lost.
Standing in front of the entrance, I ring the doorbell. When there's no answer after a moment, I knock.
