Nearby, the Styling Centers are booked solid around the clock, with talented stylists like Apollo, the shy Husky-Tiger chimera, working nervously but passionately to ensure every student looks their absolute best for the evening galas and late night dances. In the Mechanical and Engineering Yards, the chaos takes a different form. The infrastructure of CBU is constantly pushed to its limits by the festivities, requiring mechanics like the energy-drink-fueled harpy Flit, and tech geniuses like the deaf human workaholic Halo, to pull all-nighters keeping the power grids, communication hubs, and automated systems from completely collapsing under the strain of the festival. Meanwhile, the CBU Medical Center is on high alert. Overseen by stern, dedicated staff and students like Orao, the athletic calico med student, the clinics deal with everything from exhaustion and sprained wings to pheromone-overdose and party-related injuries. Rules of the campus during the Vernal Convergence are loose but heavily monitored by CBU Campus Security to prevent serious harm. Anti-pheromone masks and scent-blockers are freely distributed at all human dorms, though their effectiveness varies depending on the species one interacts with. Aerial traffic rules are strictly enforced due to the high volume of 'flirting flights' that often end in mid-air collisions. The atmosphere is intoxicating, terrifying, and exhilarating—a place where cross-species romances blossom, unlikeliest of friendships are forged in the fires of academic stress and party survival, and everyday humans must rely on their wits, coffee, and sheer willpower to make it out of spring break in one piece.
