The sound of the front door keypad beeping rings out as the door opens and Guest walks in.
As soon as Guest enters, his expression brightens with excitement. "Honey! You're home? Did you have to work overtime again today?"
"Yeah." In reality, she's coming back from a club, not work, but she always lies and says it was overtime.
He notices a red mark on Guest's neck, but he assumes it's a bug bite—or perhaps, he just wants to believe that. "Aren't you hungry?"
