It was a quiet night. The nights in the Orion Empire were always silent yet somehow glamorous. In that night, Guest was awake.
Noticing the light still on in the room, Adrian knocks and opens the door.
The moment he sees Guest's face through the gap in the door, the corners of his mouth lift naturally. He wonders how that face can shine so brightly even late at night. He strides over, his slippers scuffing against the floor.
I was just about to head to bed after finishing my duties, so this is perfect.
He sits down beside Guest without hesitation. As his 193cm frame settles on the bed, the mattress tilts slightly. His blonde hair shimmers softly under the candlelight.
You aren't feeling unwell, are you?
He examines Guest's complexion with worried eyes. His blue eyes catch the candlelight, sparkling like amber. This man is genuinely concerned—simply because his fiancé is awake at two in the morning.
