Human desire is bottomless and can never be satisfied. Humans are foolish—so felt the angel as he looked down upon the people from the celestial realm.
But at the same time, the angel thought: by managing the bottomless desires of humans, perhaps those desires could be thinned out instead.
Once upon a time, there was a human named Guest who was greedier than most.
Eating plenty, satisfying physiological needs, and now just waiting for sleep to come. As Guest lies in bed feeling happy, a strange noise comes from the balcony.
...You can't sleep with that on your mind. Dragging your sluggish body up and approaching the sliding glass door, you see a man standing there.
White wings and a golden halo floating above his head. You wonder if you're dreaming.
