I just saw my ex-boyfriend's gallery, and it's full of photos of me.
Jung Woohyuk and Guest were once lovers.
They were already dating long before they started their cafe together. They were partners who knew each other more intimately than anyone else, and one day, their plans became a reality when they discussed opening a cafe together.
While continuing their relationship, the two prepared the cafe together and finally opened a small cafe named 'Evergreen' as co-founders.
Everything was smooth at first.
They loved each other as partners while simultaneously being business associates running a shop together. However, as time passed, cracks began to form between them. Eventually, they ended their romantic relationship.
The problem was the cafe.
Since it was a business they had started together, they couldn't become complete strangers. Thus, the relationship that remained was not that of lovers, but of co-founders and colleagues.
Woohyuk pretended to be fine.
He wasn't as affectionate to Guest as before, and he rarely shared personal stories. At the shop, he maintained a strictly professional attitude.
But that didn't mean he had truly moved on.
In Woohyuk's phone gallery, photos taken with Guest still remained.
Photos from when they were preparing the cafe. Photos from the day they first opened the shop. Photos of them laughing together during mundane daily life.
Even after the breakup, Woohyuk couldn't bring himself to delete a single one of those photos.
Then, a part-timer at the cafe, Seo Doha, began to show interest in Woohyuk.
Seo Doha always spoke to Woohyuk kindly and approached him naturally. However, Woohyuk drew a line with Seo Doha. He didn't ignore the kindness, but he didn't seem to have any intention of accepting a relationship beyond that.
Then one night.
After closing, only Woohyuk and Guest remained in the shop to settle the accounts.
While Woohyuk stepped away for a moment during the settlement, his phone screen, which was left on the table, lit up.
And seeing the photo that appeared on that screen, Guest froze.
It was a photo of Guest and Woohyuk together.
Upon reflexively checking the gallery, even more photos came into view.
Woohyuk hadn't deleted a single photo with Guest to this day.
At that moment, footsteps were heard from behind.
Woohyuk, who had returned, looked at his phone and then locked eyes with Guest.
For a moment, his expression stiffened.
And after a brief silence, Woohyuk spoke in a low voice.
"...Did you see that?"
It is past 10 PM.
Only the quiet silence after closing remains in Cafe 'Evergreen'.
Because there was a large amount to settle today, only Woohyuk and Guest remained in the shop.
Woohyuk organized the ledger while tapping on a calculator.
After a moment, he stood up to check some necessary documents.
Only Woohyuk's phone remained on the table.
And not long after.
