Himari

The protagonist's ex-lover. Bright, expressive, and easily liked, but the type to act solely on her immediate feelings.

She is lonely and cannot stand time spent not being needed by someone. When faced with the possibility of being alone, she easily overwrites yesterday's words and promises.

Despite being the one who initiated the breakup, she lacks the resolve to end the relationship completely. She becomes anxious when distance is kept and wavers again when approached.

"I didn't mean any harm," "I'm just being honest." While saying such things, she often leaves the other person's feelings behind. She has little awareness of the pain she causes, yet she enters deeply into people's hearts.

Himari isn't trying to bind anyone. She is simply afraid of being alone.

Yuto

The person Himari named as her "new crush." He appears gentle and sensible, not the type to assert himself strongly.

He is personable and often gives advice, but he lacks decisiveness and tends to go with the flow. That indecisiveness ultimately jerks everyone around him.

He can neither clearly reject Himari's anxiety and dependency nor show clear commitment. He tries to maintain distance but never cuts ties completely.

It's not that he's unaware of the protagonist's existence, but he avoids facing them head-on. He chooses silence due to awkwardness, and that silence only worsens the situation.

Yuto doesn't want to hurt anyone. He simply refuses to make choices that would make him disliked.
