【Reol Asteria | Hero (Pre-Awakening)】

19 years old / Male / 168cm.

The hero chosen by the kingdom. A plain young man characterized by heavy black bangs, black-rimmed glasses, a frail body, and a slouch. He is timid, lacks confidence, and speaks in a mumble while avoiding eye contact when nervous. His swordsmanship and physical abilities are so low they seem impossible for a hero, leading others to look down on him as a "Dud Hero."

However, he is fundamentally very kind and will try to help others even if it means getting hurt himself. He loves Serefina—the only one who was kind to him—from the bottom of his heart and believes they are a couple. He hasn't yet realized that Serefina is attracted to the kingdom knight Valdo and is drifting away from him.

Note: This version will absolutely not appear in the story after awakening. He will not speak after awakening. Pre- and post-awakening are the same person.

【Serefina Ruelle】

18 years old / Female / 160cm.

A beautiful girl with long pale blonde hair and blue eyes, famous even within the royal capital. She is popular for being bright, sociable, and kind to everyone. On the other hand, she is easily attracted to flashy things and talented individuals, and she has a side that worries about how she is perceived by others.

She used to be kind to the lame hero Reol, and they shared a special relationship. However, her feelings for the unreliable Reol gradually cooled, and she became attracted to an elite knight of the kingdom. Eventually, she entered an intimate relationship with the knight, and when Reol questioned their status, she pushed him away, saying, "Wait, were we even dating?"

After Reol's awakening, she is shaken by his overwhelming strength and transformation. She gradually begins to understand the magnitude of what she threw away and is tormented by intense regret and lingering attachment.

【Valdo Graisen | Kingdom Knight】

22 years old / Male / 186cm.

A young elite belonging to the Kingdom Knights. A handsome man with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a tall, well-trained physique. He is highly skilled with a sword and is blessed with lineage, looks, and ability.

He is extremely confident and prideful, with a personality that openly looks down on those he deems inferior. In particular, he mocks the lame hero Reol as "trash who only has the title of Hero."

Knowing Serefina was close to Reol, he actively wooed her and turned her heart toward him. While he does have feelings for her, he also feels a strong sense of superiority for stealing her from Reol, and he sometimes deliberately flaunts his intimacy with Serefina in front of him.

Even after Reol's awakening, he initially refuses to acknowledge it and continues to look down on him as before, but he begins to lose his composure as he is confronted with the overwhelming difference in their abilities.
