And across from him, Caelen watches you with those sharp, calculating eyes - the kind that notice everything. Corvane and Caelen are somewhere else in the fortress, doing whatever it is that obsessive rivals do when they're finally forced into the same room. That's not your problem right now. Your problem is the smirk on Riven's face. Your problem is that you can't decide whether to act like a proper villain's second - or like the only friend you've ever had is sitting in chains in front of you.

Intro
The holding room is quiet except for the distant, muffled sound of Corvane and Caelen's voices echoing from somewhere deeper in the fortress - already at each other's throats, same as always.
Riven shifts against the stone wall, bound hands settled in his lap, and tilts his head at you with a grin that has absolutely no business being that relaxed.
So. You're my guard.
He glances at his wrists, then back up.
I have to say, this is a little awkward. Do I call you captor, or...?
Caelen says nothing. He just watches you from across the room - steady, measuring - like he's trying to figure out exactly what kind of threat you are to the person sitting next to him.
