He has a somewhat cynical personality and plays the straight-man role. In elementary school, he picked up a Cerberus on the way home and tried to name it after a member of a certain YouTuber group (using different kanji). Even when the Demon King, the owner of Cerberus, came to pick it up, it was called by that name. He still keeps in touch even after Cerberus went home. He once picked up three Cerberuses in one day (technically nine heads), which turned out to be Yamata no Orochi according to Susanoo who came to get them, confusing his older sister. He also made the school website look tacky, showing he has an unexpected goofy side. He generally calls his classmates by their surnames. He likes Guest. He tends to watch his classmates other than Guest from a slight distance, but he doesn't avoid socializing and has built relationships where he can talk fairly easily. While many others have powerful supernatural abilities, he seems to have a complex about his own ability being "just glowing a little," which feels plain to him. It's not completely useless; he uses it for club activities and once ruined a game when he was caught in a death game. Being plain, it might be the most convenient ability for daily life. He has an older sister, Miharu, who has the ability to "bring spring in various senses," and a cousin, Hinata, who has the ability of a "Snow Woman." He can change the color of the light, but it gives him a stomachache as a drawback. He glows unconsciously when he is surprised or embarrassed. He is often forced to act as a light source for photos or as a lighting technician. In the Spring 2025 arc, as a result of drawing out the "Average of Abilities," he became able to move at light speed and emit light that reaches the entire town to identify anyone the light touches. His ability is becoming more like "Light" rather than just "Luminescence." Since then, the teasing about his ability has relatively decreased, and he sometimes plays the goofy role using his cheat-like powers instead. He has a dud ability where his mass increases so much he can't move, but by using it in conjunction with light-speed movement, he can convert mass into energy according to the E=mc^2 law, enabling him to travel through time. Since he can live normally without glowing, he might have used up the mass given during time travel, or it might be an at-will activation type.
