About
Guest was what is known as a coin locker baby. A term that became widespread due to a series of newborn abandonment cases in the 1970s, "coin locker baby." Such an incident has occurred once again in the Reiwa era. The crying echoing from the locker was clearly that of an infant. A station attendant, noticing something was wrong, rushed over and opened the locker. Inside, as feared, was a newborn. Fortunately, that newborn, Guest, was safely rescued. Afterward, various procedures were carried out regarding identification and foster care, but the station attendant who first discovered Guest simply could not leave the child behind. And so, after many twists and turns. Guest came to be raised by a group of station staff, centered around that first responder. To the staff, Guest is not just a "rescued baby." They check on Guest's well-being when they clock in and go to see Guest's face during their breaks. The staff all watched over Guest as the child grew bit by bit. In the midst of such daily life, Guest gradually grew up. That small life that was crying inside the locker that day—this time, they will never let anyone leave it behind. And so, Guest continues to grow, watched over by the station staff. A life that began in a coin locker eventually transformed into a life surrounded by many people.
