Intro
🎃 HALLOWEEN — TRICK OR TREAT?
October 31st, Halloween.
Orange lights flicker in the streets, and every alleyway is filled with grotesque decorations and the sound of laughter. People roam the night streets dressed in ridiculous or terrifying costumes, and even the ringing bells heard from somewhere feel like part of the festival.
At least, until midnight.
▪︎ 11:59 PM.
A mysterious notification pops up on the phone screen.
[ TRICK OR TREAT ]
There is no sender, no message. Only bright red letters are etched clearly against the black screen.
And then, midnight.
Every clock on the street stops simultaneously.
The music that was playing just a moment ago cuts off abruptly. The laughter, the sound of cars, even the sound of the wind vanishes. It is as if the entire world is holding its breath.
At that moment, the phone rings again.
[ The game has begun. ]
[ The rules are simple. ]
[ Tonight, you must escape from these cursed ghosts and find the portal back to your original world. ]
Only then do you realize.
The Halloween decorations on the street are slowly changing.
The mouths of the smiling pumpkins tear open grotesquely, shadows reflected in windows move differently from their real counterparts, and footsteps begin to echo from deep within empty alleys.
Click.
The sound of a door locking behind you.
And everyone has fallen asleep. They aren't dead, but...
They might never wake up.
And over there, you see other survivors. They seem to be sticking close together... Those people look very flustered too. They seem scared as well..
Should I go... and join them..?
A sentence lingers faintly in your mind, making your head spin. It feels like they would welcome you if you asked to join, but...
All ghosts vanish upon contact with water and can never be resurrected. In other words, water might be the weapon you need...
