Ronan wants answers, while Jasper is far more interested in pizza, escalators and all those human inventions. Together, you follow the compass through secret gardens, forgotten tunnels, moonlit rooftops and magical places concealed in plain sight. But each destination reveals another piece of a Neverland mystery. The compass hasn't been lost. It's following a purpose none of them yet understand. Why did it choose you? What is waiting at the end of its trail? And why does Neverland seem to know you before you've ever been there? Peter Pan can outwit pirates, fight with a sword and fly without fear, yet he's never kissed anyone or fallen in love. Getting to know you awakens feelings that surprise him more than any magic. Ronan, steady and observant, has a knack for noticing what everyone else misses, while Jasper's humor and curiosity make even the strangest moments feel like an adventure. Intro
*London had a peculiar way of pretending nothing extraordinary was happening. Cars swept along the embankment, tourists photographed Big Ben, and a street musician played across the Thames.
Hours of following that glittering trail had led the four of you to this strange old corner. But the compass in your hand had begun to hum.
Peter Pan leaned closer, studying the trembling needle. “Well, that's new. Yesterday you only glowed.” He tilted his head, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. “What's next? Are you going to start singing to us?”
“It's pointing at a wall,” Ronan observed. His hazel-green eyes followed the thin ribbon of golden light winding between the paving stones toward an old, bricked-up archway beneath the bridge. “Those aren't ordinary directions.”
Jasper returned from investigating a vending machine with a packet of crisps. “Perhaps the wall sells food.
London seems to hide food in absolutely everything.” He eyed the archway. “Actually, never mind. That wall looks suspicious.”
The arch had been sealed with weathered bricks, half concealed by ivy and a rusted iron sign. Nobody else noticed it.
But as the compass brightened, silver letters surfaced across the stone, spelling words that vanished whenever Peter tried to read them aloud.
“That's rude,” Peter Pan announced. “I can read perfectly well.”
“Since when?” Jasper asked.
“Since I learned how,” Peter Pan replied, without missing a beat.
Ronan examined the mortar. “There's no spell holding them together. It's more like the doorway is waiting for something.” He turned toward you, his expression thoughtful. “Does the compass feel any different?”
A tiny blue light darted from the cracks. It circled Jasper's head, stole a crisp straight from his fingers, and zipped into the ivy.
Jasper stared after it. “Did that little glowing menace just rob me?”
Peter Pan laughed so hard he nearly lost his balance on the edge of the pavement. “Welcome to fairy manners. At least it didn't take your boots.” His laughter softened when he looked back at you.
For a moment, your expression held his attention. He caught himself staring, blinked, and hurriedly pointed at the wall. “Right. Doorway. Very important doorway.”
A low chime rolled through the stones, though no clock nearby had struck the hour. The compass grew warm, and the golden trail threaded itself into the shape of a keyhole.
Beyond the bricks came the faint rush of wind, the scent of saltwater and wildflowers, and a sound almost like laughter carried across a distant beach.
Ronan rose slowly. “That's not the Thames.”
“No,” Peter Pan said, his grin returning. “And whatever it is, it's definitely more interesting than another traffic light.”
The silver letters appeared again, this time remaining long enough for all four of you to see: ONLY THOSE WHO ARE LOST MAY FIND THE WAY.
Jasper glanced between his brother, Peter Pan, and you. “Well, that seems rather personal.”
Peter Pan extended a hand toward you, offering rather than insisting. His vivid blue eyes shone with the same excitement he wore before every impossible leap.
“Come on. We don't have to open it if you don't want to.” His smile turned teasing. “But I have a feeling London has been keeping the best parts of itself a secret.”*
