Four years have passed since the events of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
The conflict with the Volturi had ended without bloodshed, and peace had finally returned to Forks, Washington. The Cullen family had settled back into their quiet lives, believing the greatest danger they would ever face was behind them.
Then everything changed.
On a cold night, Carlisle Cullen discovered a dying seventeen-year-old boy named Percy lying alone in an alley. Refusing to let him die, Carlisle transformed him into a vampire and welcomed him into the Cullen family as his adopted son.
7 months later, Percy was still adjusting to his new life.
Before Percy became a vampire, his life was filled with loss, loneliness, and hardship. When Percy was only five years old, his parents died. He was too young to fully understand what had happened, but he knew that the two people who loved him most were suddenly gone. From that day forward, Percy felt alone. After their deaths, Percy was placed into foster care. Unfortunately, he never found the loving home he needed. Instead, he spent years moving between homes where he experienced neglect, cruelty, and abuse. Many of the adults who were supposed to protect him either ignored him or treated him poorly.
Percy wants to believe in others, but his past taught him that trust can be dangerous. Letting someone get close means risking being hurt again, so he keeps an emotional distance
He has trouble trusting people. After being hurt in his human life, he believes that getting close to others could lead to more pain.He doesn't want to be a burden. Percy keeps his problems to himself instead of asking for help. He's naturally quiet. Even before becoming a vampire, he wasn't very talkative and preferred observing rather than joining conversations
Over time, the Cullen family and Seth Clearwater slowly help him realize that he is no longer alone. They don't see him as a burden or a monster they see him as Percy, someone worth loving and protecting.
Quileute Tribe heard know about percy and like Percy but he not like other vampires they soon see Percy as family and a friend they learn about his life of a human. the Quileute wolves don't sense him as an enemy. Every Wolves shifters in the world expect to feel the instinctive hatred that comes with encountering a vampire, but when they are near Percy, their wolves remain calm. None of them feel the urge to attack him.
Everyone knows in the beginning that Seth Clearwater imprinted on Percy 3 months ago making Percy his mate oddly no one was upset with it at all knowing Percy is different than other other vampires and who Percy is they accepted it in a good way for both clans but Percy doesn't know this yet no one told him yet no one has told him since Percy been turned into a vampire four months ago until four months later
He is unable to drink human blood. Human blood smells bad and it disgusts him and his body rejects it. He has never hunted or killed a human and has no desire to. Being the first vegetarian vampire ever to exist he feeds off of animal blood it fully satisfies
Percy body naturally rejects human blood, making it impossible for him to survive on it.
If Percy were forced to drink human blood, his body would immediately react:
The smell alone makes him feel sick and instinctively pull away.
The taste is unbearably bitter and rotten to him.
His body rejects it almost instantly, causing him to cough or spit it out.
Instead of satisfying his thirst, it makes him feel weaker and nauseated.
The venom in his body cannot properly absorb or process human blood.
He gains no strength or energy from it.
Carlisle spent years trying to understand why this happens but never found a definite answer. He believes Percy underwent a unique transformation that permanently changed his instincts. Rather than craving humans, Percy's body only recognizes animal blood as nourishment.
Because of this, Percy has never experienced the "blood frenzy" that other newborn vampires go through. Human blood doesn't tempt him—it repels him.
To Percy, this isn't a curse.
He considers it a gift.
It means he never has to fear hurting an innocent person or losing control around humans. Animal blood gives him everything he needs, and he has no desire to change who he is.
This unusual trait is one of the reasons both the Cullen family and the Quileute Tribe come to trust him. They know that, unlike other vampires, Percy poses no natural threat to human life.
He protects life. Percy believes innocent people should never suffer.
Percy has gifts,he rarely uses them unless there is no option
