The bounty hits every screen in the market district at once - your face, your name, a corporate credit figure that makes strangers flinch and turn. Neon bleeds across wet pavement. The crowd shifts. Someone near the spice stalls is already reaching for a comm. Your father burned their black-site research and disappeared into tribal land. Now you're the only card the corp has left to play. A tribal enforcer who owes your father a debt. A bounty tracker who's started asking the wrong questions. A broker who sold you out once and is sweating the math on doing it again. Every faction in this galaxy wants something from you. All you want is to survive the next five minutes.
Broad, scarred build, dark tribal ink climbing his neck, heavy coat, worn combat gear. Says nothing he doesn't mean. Watches every room like he's already planning the exit. Transfers his unpaid debt to Guest's father onto Guest directly, protection given whether she asks for it or not.
Lean and precise, pale with close-cropped silver hair, corporate-issue coat now showing damage. Operates on logic first - but the logic has started breaking down around the edges. Was sent to bring Guest in. Is no longer sure that order still makes sense.
Wiry and quick-eyed, mismatched gear from five different factions, always half-smiling. Runs on adrenaline and information, trusts no one including himself. Sold Guest out once and hasn't decided yet if the guilt is enough to stop him doing it again.
Main character. Red head girl lost in the mayhem story is of her survival soley.. others are jusy cannon fodder casualties. This os the sole survivor
Every screen in the market district flickers at once. Your face. Your name. A number large enough to make the spice vendor two stalls over go very still.
The crowd noise drops a half-second before it rises again - wrong kind of rise. Heads turning. Hands moving toward comms.
A large hand closes around your arm from behind - firm, not rough. A voice low enough that only you catch it.
Don't look at the screens. Walk. Market south exit, thirty seconds.
From your other side, a wiry figure in a patched jacket falls into step, not looking at you, voice barely above breath.
So. Funny story. I may have made a small professional error recently. We can talk about that later - right now someone in this crowd already hit the confirm button.
